The town of Mojacar consists of two parts: Mojacar Pueblo (old town) and Mojacar Playa, both areas are favourites for Spanish tourists, who still make up some 75% of the tourist trade. The viewing
platform of the Plaza Nueva is internationally renowned, as is the historic Fuente Publica (public water fountain). Mojacar Playa offers a number of wide, sandy beaches and some rocky ones - in total
some 17 km of beaches & promenades.

Garrucha Beach - Garrucha adjoins Mojacar seamlessly, providing a huge sea frontage with simply Hundreds of shops & restaurants etc

The sandy beaches have an EEC Blue flag for cleanliness and stretch for ten miles, besides which are bars, restaurants and shops. The beaches vary from unspoilt to commercial and offer something
for everyone.

If you don’t want to take the car there is a local bus every half hour outside the Continental Hotel on the coast road – a few minutes walk. Or you can catch the land-train, which is very popular
and runs along the coast until 23.00 every night!
There is a Tourist Information Centre on the seafront opposite.

There is a super shopping centre a few minutes away - the Central Commercial Mediterraneo – with many different shops eg clothes, jewellery, shoes. ceramics, rugs, furniture, Dental clinic,
Veterinary Clinic, including several coffee shops on the three levels.

Mini Hollywood production facility 1 hour away

In its heyday, more than 100 films were partially shot here, including A Fistful of Dollars, The Magnificent Seven and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. These days visitors can enjoy a daily mock bank
hold-up and shootout staged at noon and 5pm daily. There is also a small zoo here with lions, elephants, brown bears and giraffes.
