The longest and finest sandy beach in Eastern Spain is only 2.5km away, less than 5 minutes
away by car. Windsurfing, diving, fishing, boating and more are all
available. 1 km away you'll find a newly built shopping mall. The local area is known as the orange
blossom coast and is the main centre of the region. Local facilities include bowling alleys,
multi-screen cinemas, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, discotheques and more, or you can
simply settle for the quiet life. Within 3km are go-carts, quad bikes and golf courses.
The new motorway means you can drive to Salou and Port Aventura water and theme park in just 1 hour.

Local travel information & links
You can go from Barcelona or Valencia by train to Benicarlo-Peniscola, but maybe it will be
easier to get it from Barcelona airport than from Valencia airport because Barcelona airport has a
railway station.
You can easily get the timetable of the trains from Barcelona or Valencia to Benicarlo. Follow this
instructions: go to
Renfe, then in the field of origin put
Barcelona and in destination put Valencia and then click Make an enquiry. You will get the
timetables of all trains from Barcelona to Valencia. All these trains, except the Euromed, stops at
Benicarlo-Peñíscola. To get the complete list of stops and time of each train, you only need to
click in the "type of train" links.
To get the prices is much more difficult, but you can have an idea if you estimate about 60% of the
total price from Barcelona to Valencia.
The Benicarlo-Peñíscola station is couple of kilometres from Peñiscola and you will need to take a
taxi or a bus.
There are numerous ferry services around the region which are capable of carrying foot traffic,
cars, caravans etc. to and from the islands including Ibiza and Mallorca. Additionally flights to
Mallorca & Ibiza etc. are available at Valencia airport. See the
