Vila Real is approximately 10km (6m) from the site. This is a superb town with excellent shopping
and entertainment facilities. It also enjoys breathtaking views of the Rio Guardiana, which forms
the border with Spain. |

Cacela is within walking distance of the site and has local stores and facilities as expected in
a small to medium sized village. It is totally unspoiled with many superb views of the surrounding
terrain. There are numerous other small villages in the vicinity of the site. Some stunning river
cruises are also available in the region. |
