Cheap property options in Spain, France, Portugal, Canaries, Italy including
Sardinia & Sicily, Greece & the UK
The dream of a holiday home in the sun, away from the depressing grey of our
native lands has had a certain appeal for the majority of Northern Europeans for
centuries. However most of us are reluctant or unable to invest the majority of
our assets in a second home in Spain, Portugal, France, Tenerife, Italy or
elsewhere in southern Europe, but there are still cheap property options
available of which many are unaware.
If our desire is for a cheap holiday home in Spain for example, the cost is
often not justified by the use obtained from the usual holiday villas or holiday
apartments. If our requirement is for a cost effective, cheap home in Spain to
retire to, we prefer to retain a large portion of our assets for income after
retirement, leaving little for property purchase at current prices. Or, it may
just be that we are uncertain of our long term plans, or wish to keep our
options open, so a cheap or budget holiday home in Portugal, Spain, France,
Tenerife, Canary Islands, Croatia, Sardinia, or elsewhere in Southern Europe
could be just the answer. Unfortunately the cheap property market for holiday
homes in the sun has dried up, holiday home bargains in places like Spain,
Portugal and Tenerife having been bought up at a terrific rate over the past 10
years or so.
All of the scenario's above mean there is frequently a very limited range of
options for really cheap property in Spain or elsewhere in southern Europe
remaining, or at least any which can be justified on a cost and sensibility
basis. During the past 2 decades or so however, our company has striven to
change the balance of choice for the masses, constantly pushing the boundaries
in the cheap holiday homes marketplace.

options for cheap properties in Spain, France, Tenerife and Portugal, with other

We realised some years ago that there was one option which might provide an
answer to the demand for cheap holiday homes in Spain, Portugal, Tenerife and
similar locations. Here in the UK during the sixties a concept had developed
around retiring to a "Park Home" site, cost effective and far more secure than
most other options. These homes were (and still are) however still comparatively
expensive, due to the methods of construction and the materials required to
withstand our severe weather conditions. We could see possibilities but a lot of
work needed to be done to bring suitable solutions to market at affordable
costs.
We are able to offer a huge range of mobile homes suitable for holidays or
retirement, in a variety of locations throughout Europe. In Spain for example we
have mobile home sites on the costa del sol, costa blanca, costa de la luz,
costa calida, costa dorada, costa del azahar, costa almeria, costa de valencia,
costa tropical, costa brava and most inland regions including murcia and
granada. Our sites cover all the popular regions, including Marbella, Almeria,
Torrevieja, Malaga, La Manga and more.
In those early days we looked to the caravan industry for cheaper alternatives
to the traditional Park Home, unfortunately the options were a little weak in
the design department, visual appeal being below zero in most cases! These
alternatives to the "Park Home", known at the time as Static Caravans, and later
as Mobile Homes, were to say the least bland, resembling as they did large
poorly designed Caravans rather than Park Homes. For some years whilst
distributing our wares we constantly worked behind the scenes, trying to
convince Mobile Home manufacturers that they were 75% of the way to creating new
market possibilities for cheap property in Spain and southern Europe generally.
The Mobile Homes were stoutly constructed to last for many many years in the
worst of climatic conditions, with possible life spans much longer still in
southern Europe of course. The task was to convince manufacturers that with
clever, innovative design and modern space age materials, their products could
be positioned closer to the "Park Home" concept, whilst maintaining a
considerable price differential.
The next decade or so would prove we were correct; the pick of today's Mobile
Homes (also still called Static Caravans by some) are almost indistinguishable
from many Park Homes costing much more. They are so well designed and
constructed they will outlast their owners by many years, providing good service
not just for this generation but also the next and hopefully beyond.
We are sure you will see that the lines between Park Homes and Mobile Homes have
blurred considerably over time. However, the cost of the latter concept has been
contained at more viable levels, offering a superb solution for the vast
majority seeking cheap properties in Spain including Tenerife, Portugal, Italy
or other parts of southern Europe. The only major difference between a Park Home
and today's quality Mobile Home is the latter retains an axle and a pair of
wheels to maintain mobility should it be required. Although in today's market
this feature is more a concession to planning regulations than anything else, it
being easier to obtain planning for a "mobile home site" than a "park home site"
in most instances.
